As a black man, I'm afraid to run. I'm afraid of what they might think. Why is that black man running? I'm afraid of what they might see. What is he running from? As a black man, I'm thinking too much. Will they stop when the sign says STOP? Should I cross the street? Does that make them uncomfortable? As a black man, I don't want to be afraid. I want to stop and smell the flowers. Sometimes I stop to love on the doggies. I don't want to watch for you or worry about you. I am a black man who loves to run. I will continue to run. JOIN ME.

In 25 years, Marathon Kids has transformed the lives of more than two and a half million kids. Our main goal is inclusivity. We partner with Title 1 and disadvantaged schools and communities first. We wish for all kids, no matter their difference, to feel included, welcomed, and have access to fun, supportive, and educational physical activities.
